“It’s cold,” my daughter tells me in the jacuzzi in one of the Yerevan hotels. We came to Armenia for art, for Christian churches, and for coffee. “It’s warm,” the lady who shares the space with us, with her husband, answers in Russian instead of me. She continues fluently in Russian, without hearing my favorite phrase: Ya ně govoryu po russki.
