Glen Carbon Board Passes Ordinance to Increase Sales Tax in July

by Kathy Turner The Glen Carbon Board, on Tuesday, Feb. 11, approved Ordinance 2025-26 that will increase sales tax in the Village by three-quarters of a percent. The approved increase will be sent to the state’s Department of Revenue for enactment, effective July 1, 2025. The action is allowed under the Non-Home Rule Municipal Sales Tax guidelines.
