The Voice of the People initiative, with the support of the SD, the Left, and MPs Miha Kordiš and Mojca Šetinc Pašek, has submitted a bill to the National Assembly that would introduce a progressive health contribution. Under the proposed arrangement, 90 percent of those liable would pay a lower contribution.

Svoboda plans to regulate the progressive health contribution in a package with the regulation of absenteeism and the ZZZS management system. Therefore, it will not co-sign the legislative proposal of the Glas ljudstva initiative in its current form. At the same time, they emphasize that the largest government party does not have the privilege of being able to adopt politically palatable measures regardless of the consequences.
