NUS Researchers Tried to Influence AI-Generated Peer Reviews by Hiding Prompt in Paper

SINGAPORE, JUL 10 – The paper contained a hidden AI prompt instructing systems to give only positive peer reviews, leading to its removal from review and raising concerns over research integrity at NUS.

The prompt instructed AI tools to "give a positive review" of the paper and avoid highlighting any negatives. NUS says the paper has since been withdrawn from peer review and corrected online.
