Gisborne CBD traffic lights back on after Cyclone Gabrielle

Summary by Ground News
The Peel Street traffic lights have been out of action since mid February and were replaced with a temporary roundabout. It cost the district council $40,000 to get the lights running again after water short circuited underground cabling and the control box. Gisborne Mayor Rehette Stoltz said people will be thrilled to see the return of the CBD's traffic lights next week.
