Unaccompanied Member George Becali said on Wednesday after consultations with President Nicușor Dan that it was not expected that George Simeon and AUR should be present at the discussions. "You can't come to the man who beat you," said he. He also confirmed Simeon's claim that he did not contribute money to the party, saying to them "they had 12-13% in the first round (of parliamentary elections – n.red.) and when I came to get 20%".
