‘Biggest Canadian flag’ unfurled in Vancouver for World Cup, but may breach etiquette
The 160-metre flag is part of a Guinness World Records bid and a tourism push as Vancouver prepares for the FIFA World Cup.
Grouse Mountain Resort in Metro Vancouver unveiled the largest Canadian flag ever made, measuring 160 metres by 80 metres, displayed on a ski run called The Cut to support Canada's team in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The flag, made of weather-resistant fabric, is positioned about 900 metres above sea level and is visible from East Vancouver, Burnaby, and across Burrard Inlet.
