Bill Clinton said there was “credible evidence” that Gerry Adams was involved at “the highest level” in the IRA in the 1990s, the High Court has heard. As US president, Mr Clinton supported a decision to block Mr Adams from visiting America in 1993 after the FBI and US state department concluded he had “engaged in terrorist activity”.
