The murder of the Strasbourg psychologist Elena Chaplin, who was killed with a white weapon in February 2025 in Ortenau, was sentenced on Tuesday 26 August to life imprisonment by the Regional Court of Offenburg. For the entourage of the 37-year-old mother, this verdict cannot erase the multiple flaws of the German police and health system, which in their view led directly to the tragedy.
