France has announced the recognition of the State of Palestine, which the majority of Germans are now demanding.
France wants to recognize Palestine as a state, Britain is also considering this step. The Federal Government rejects it. A majority of Germans would be in favour of recognizing a Palestinian state.
In a poll conducted by the Forsa Institute on behalf of the magazine Internationale Politik, 54% of respondents answered "Yes" to the relevant question.
