Beer sales in Germany in the first half of 2025 decreased by 6.3 percent, or 262 million liters, to 3.9 billion liters compared to the same period last year, according to a report by the German Federal Statistical Office, Destatis, on Friday.
For the first time since 1993, the half-yearly volume of beer drunk in Germany has fallen below the four billion litre mark, in a market that has been declining for several years.
