Weeze. Rheinmetall has commissioned a production hall for components of the multi-purpose fighter aircraft F-35. The building was built by Goldbeck.
So, beyond producing elements for aircraft purchased by Germany, the commitment involves Rheinmetall’s involvement in the F-35 global programme, although it is not one of its initial nine partners (these are, in addition to the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia, Norway, Denmark and Canada, leaving Turkey now apart, which was expelled from the program in July 2019 for purchasing Russian S-400 missile systems).
