The Federal Government wants to buy launch ramps for medium-range Typhon missiles from American manufacturers. The weapon could reach targets far in Russian territory. However, it becomes the perfect deterrent weapon for another reason.
The USA has not yet decided whether they are stationing medium-range missiles in Germany. Berlin therefore wants to buy "Typhon" systems. They can also launch large-range cruise missiles. But there are open questions.
