Following an incident involving alcohol on the day she was scheduled to perform euthanasia on a patient, the GP was admitted to a clinic.

The general practitioner from Rhoon who was ordered to stop working immediately performed her duties multiple times while under the influence of alcohol. According to the court, the GP suffered from an alcohol addiction. The case reached a low point when an euthanasia procedure was cancelled at the last minute and the doctor was found drunk in the back seat of her car by her assistant.
