- On October 7, Gene Simmons crashed his Lincoln Navigator on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu after losing consciousness and hitting a parked vehicle, deputies reported.
- Doctors recently changed Gene Simmons's medications and advised increased water intake, which his wife Shannon Tweed said he dislikes; Simmons also has a history of atrial fibrillation, linked to fainting.
- The crash was reported just before 1 p.m. in the 25000 block of Pacific Coast Highway, and deputies and firefighters responded after witnesses called 911.
- Following the crash, Simmons was evaluated at a nearby hospital, briefly hospitalized for checks, and has since been released and is recovering at home, Tweed and NBC4 confirmed.
- The crash comes weeks before KISS's scheduled reunion in Las Vegas, November 14-16, raising fan concerns after Ace Frehley recently canceled dates for health reasons.
