Gen Kainerugaba meets CODECO militia leaders over UPDF clashes in DR Congo

It was announced in an official statement by the Ugandan army. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Chief of Staff and son of President Yoweri Museveni, met on Tuesday, 22 April, near Kampala, Uganda, a delegation presented as "Codeco leaders", an active militia in Ituri, eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and particularly murderous. In recent weeks, the Codeco militia and Ugandan forces (UPDF) have clashed in several border areas.

The Ugandan armed forces of General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the son of the Ugandan president, are fighting this militia in Ituri, the Congolese province bordering Uganda.
