Utrecht University of Applied Sciences has renamed the holidays Christmas and Easter to "holidays" in its new calendar, according to the Trajectum media outlet. The Executive Board reportedly made the decision to promote inclusion.
Utrecht University of Applied Sciences (HU) has removed the names of Christian holidays from its 2025 annual calendar. Where "Christmas," "Easter," and "Ascension Day" were previously listed, the school now only refers to "holiday" or "national holiday." The decision has sparked debate.
