Gauguin's Last Self-Portrait Could Be a Fake. The Basel Museum Is Testing Its Authenticity.

The Kunstmuseum Basel has submitted for analysis a painting that was until recently believed to be the last self-portrait of Paul Gauguin. Doubts were cast by French scholar of Gauguin's work Fabrice Fourmanoir, who lived for a long time in French Polynesia.
