Gang activity threat prompts increased police presence at huge N.J. Dominican parade

Paterson officials have increased the police presence at the city’s annual Dominican Parade Sunday after authorities were notified of potential gang activity. The 36th annual parade, which is expected to draw thousands of people, will have more than 200 officers patrolling from all levels of law enforcement, from the FBI to local police departments, Paterson Mayor Andrew Sayegh told NJ Advance Media.
