Samsung’s preemptive case seeking protection from potential patent infringement claims from Oura over smart rings has been dismissed.

Smart ring company Oura took an 85 per cent growth spurt last year. The race is intensifying as the giants jostle for their share of the market.

Oura has a free hand to file a lawsuit against Samsung, should the idea ever cross the smart ring maker's mind. Last June, the Korean giant launched a preemptive legal action against its competitor... to no avail.
