(WSPA) - Furman wide receiver Evan James was named the FCS National Freshman Player of the Week following a breakout performance in the Paladins' first road win of the season at Campbell Saturday. James caught the go-ahead and eventual game-winning touchdown, a 30-yard pass from Trey Hedden, with 4:50 left in the game to put Furman up 28-24.
