We could not say that Romania has ever had a shortage of comedy actors: from Matei Millo to Nae Roman and Grigore Vasiliu Birlic, to Dem Radulescu, Mircea Crișan, Puiu Calinescu or Horațiu Mălăele, to name just a few of the aces of the genre. And yet, of all, Constantin Tanase is unique: huge talent, a theatrical institution built by himself and, above all, a courage neighboring with recklessness.
