The Dutch Armed Forces want to collaborate more with innovative start-ups that can develop products for defense applications. Defence is therefore opening a secure innovation centre on the TU Delft campus, where the ministry intends to work with these companies. Such a centre should bring Defence and the business community closer together, hopes State Secretary for Defence Derk Boswijk.
Drones will play a leading role in the armed forces, it was announced this week in the new Defence White Paper. To make this transition, collaboration between Defence, universities, and the business community is of crucial importance. A new, secure innovation center on the TU Delft campus brings all parties together.
