Fresh charges for teen accused of boarding Jetstar flight with rifle, fake bomb
- A 17-year-old boy from Ballarat allegedly attempted to board Jetstar Flight 610 at Avalon Airport with a shotgun and a fake bomb on March 6. He was noted by passengers and overpowered before boarding the aircraft.
- The boy has been charged with 12 offences, including attempted hijack and making threats to the safety of an aircraft. These charges were revealed in a Children’s Court hearing on March 21.
