The Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) has commanded the demonstrator Syderal, a high-power laser weapon designed to destroy drones, rockets and missiles. Weared by a 100% French consortium, this system promises unprecedented efficiency. How will this technology change the deal for air defence?
The Directorate General of Armaments announced on Thursday that it had ordered an anti-drones laser demonstrator. Syderal, that is its name, will be able to destroy targets in flight, and should be operational by 2030.
