- In the Freestyle Chess Las Vegas Grand Slam, Indian Grandmasters R Praggnanandhaa and Arjun Erigaisi reached the quarterfinals at Wynn Las Vegas hotel, on Thursday.
- Following this format, the 16-player event was divided into two groups of eight, with the top four from each group advancing to the quarterfinals.
- During the round-robin stage, R Praggnanandhaa scored 4.5 points from seven games to tie for first in Group White, while Arjun Erigaisi secured four points to finish third in Group Black.
