- Following a grueling 266-day strike outside the Secretariat, Accredited Social Health Activists will receive a ₹3,000 monthly raise, increasing their total honorarium to ₹12,000.
- The Cabinet additionally approved a ₹1,000 monthly raise for Anganwadi workers, helpers, pre-primary teachers, and school cooking staff, while planning a dedicated ministry for elderly welfare modeled on Japanese systems.
- Satheesan described the welfare measures as fulfilling key 'Indira Guarantee' commitments, stating, "The #UDF Government has walked the talk."
- The administration plans to publish a white paper on the state's economy, while appointing former CPM leader G Sudhakaran as pro tem Speaker ahead of the May 21 swearing-in of newly elected MLAs.
