In France, the body responsible for evaluating the State's climate action is releasing its 8th annual report this Thursday, July 9th. While it unsurprisingly notes that the visible effects of warming are accelerating and reveal the country's delay in preparing for the "bundle of climate characteristics," it also formulates several dozen recommendations, half of which are already old.
In its latest report, the High Council for the Climate believes that France must "change scale" in its adaptation to climate change, judging that its "economic activities and socio-cultural practices have developed or been sized in a climate that no longer exists".
