French farmers suspend protests as taxi drivers scale down airport action

Tuesday was set to be more calm on French roads, after French farmers announced they were suspending planned protests. Taxi drivers also said they would scale down planned airport protests during negotiations with the government.

While taxis have been showing up since last week and farmers, too, are on the street this Monday, the executive wants to prevent these social movements from growing. The government is manoeuvring to defuse the situation.

The taxi drivers denounce the behaviour of the VTCs who are going to pick up their customers in the airport in violation of the law.
