France: 7 out of 10 want to remove the hijab from public spaces

Summary by Human Rights Service
With the exception of 18-24 year olds, there is massive opposition to veiling Muslim women in France. All other age groups are overwhelmingly positive to a ban. A full 69 percent support banning the hijab. Both among right-wing voters and Macron government supporters, there is overwhelming opposition to what many probably associate with an active Islamization of the French public space.
