Four-Star Cornerback Woods Verbally Commits to Virginia Tech
The 5-foot-11 slot receiver chose the Hokies over Florida State and Maryland, adding physical play and special-teams value to Virginia Tech's 2027 class.
On Sunday, June 7, 2026, four-star cornerback Bryce Woods verbally committed to Virginia Tech, becoming the 21st member of the Hokies' 2027 recruiting class.
Woods' decision capped a productive recruiting weekend for the Hokies, adding high-profile talent to a 2027 class that already features four-star quarterback Peter Bourque.
Ranked as a four-star prospect by 247Sports, Woods is the No. 204 player in the class and the No. 20 player in Georgia, choosing Virginia Tech over Mississippi State and Ohio State.
Joining fellow Georgian cornerback Chase Johnson and Austin Barrett, Woods becomes the third cornerback in the class; Barrett committed five days ago.
This commitment follows the addition of wide receiver Cam Wade, who pledged to the Hokies on June 2 after an official visit to Blacksburg.
