Fossil discovery reveals ancient giant marine reptile relied on stealth while hunting in darkness

DOTTERNHAUSEN, SOUTHERN GERMANY, JUL 16 – The Early Jurassic Temnodontosaurus used flippers with serrated edges to reduce swimming noise and large eyes to hunt stealthily in dark waters, according to a recent study.
