Former The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr announced his fifth solo album, The Age Of Everything, arriving October 2 via BMG, marking his first studio release in four years.
Written in London and recorded in Manchester, the 10-track LP was developed while Marr toured North America, described as "sharp, fast and dynamic, filled with ideas and possibilities."
Fans can access an exclusive presale starting Wednesday, June 17, before the general sale on Friday, June 19, with formats including black, red, and limited 3 Colour splatter vinyl.
Calling the project his "most cathartic" record, Marr explained the title "came to me early in the process and became an inescapable idea," capturing current cultural overwhelm.
This year, Marr will play the biggest live shows of his solo career at Manchester's Castlefield Bowl on July 9 and London's OVO Arena Wembley on October 24, with further dates expected soon.
