Former All Black Hoskins Sotutu to leave Blues at end of Super Rugby season
Hoskins Sotutu will complete the 2026 Super Rugby season with the Blues before joining Newcastle Red Bulls, having played 79 games for Auckland's franchise.

- Since making his Super Rugby debut in 2019, Sotutu has established himself as one of the competition's best loose forwards, playing 79 games for the Blues.
- In a club statement, Sotutu said the move was an exciting opportunity, but he thanked the coaching staff, teammates and fans and looked forward to one more season with the Blues.
- Newcastle said the signing gains a high-quality professional, and Murray Williams, Blues general manager rugby, said Sotutu would leave a strong mark as a world-class player and leader.
- Having debuted for the All Blacks in 2020, Sotutu played 14 tests but has not represented New Zealand since November 2022.
