The Spanish Foreign Minister, José Manuel Albares, is the host this Monday in Madrid of a new key diplomatic meeting between the great European countries, the so-called G5+, in which his peers from France, Germany, Italy, Poland and the United Kingdom will participate, as well as the high representative for foreign policy of the EU, Kaja Kallas, and the Commissioner for Defence, Andrius Kubilus. Radosław Sikorski spoke after the EU "Big Five" summit. The MFA chief stated that the talks resulted in a "strong message" directed to Ukraine, Russia and the US. Sikorski also said that it was necessary to set an important date for negotiations on the war in Ukraine.

The main topic is the European rearmament plan, through which the Union aims to invest over 800 billion euros in defense and security.
