MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WSPA) - The South Carolina Forestry Commission (SCFC) released an update on the fire that has burned more than 2,000 acres. As of today, the fire is reported to be 55% contained. Horry County Burn Ban Lifted
The Carolina Forest Wildfire has now reached it’s 11th day of burning. The recent rain has assisted first responders with fighting the blaze that is now 60% contained. The burn ban in Horry County has been lifted but the open burn ban will remain in effect until further notice.
