The football players in the 2nd Slovenian league have started the new season. The opening round was opened by Bistrica and Rudar from Velenje, the former winning 3:1. One of the favorites of the championship, Nafta 1903, won 2:0 against Slovan in the evening match.
The new season of the 2nd SNL began today. Bistrica defeated Velenje 3:1 in the opening match on home turf, while Nafta was 2:0 better than Slovan. Four matches will be played on Saturday, with Triglav from Kranj, who narrowly missed out on promotion to the 1st SNL last season, visiting Bilje, and on Sunday the new second division teams will be introduced. Jesenice will host a rejuvenated Gorica, and Krško will host Ilirija.
