Focal Point | Capitola holds 4th of July parade

A Fourth of July parade in Capitola, circa 1912-14. Soldiers dressed in French Zouave styled uniforms march along Ocean Front Avenue (today’s Esplanade) to the delight of nattily dressed spectators. Note the street’s dirt surface and the streetcar tracks. Capitola’s merry-go-round was in the dark circular building behind the Bandstand, left of center.
