Fly of the week: The Black Ghost - Adirondack Almanack

The Black Ghost streamer pattern was created by Herbert “Herb” Welch while guiding and fishing the Rangeley Lakes region in Maine sometime between 1917 and 1927.  Welch tied the pattern to specifically catch the region’s sizable brook trout.
