PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA, JUL 8 – The renaming honors Trump’s Florida ties and political impact, with approval required before new signs are installed by September, officials said.
- On July 8, 2025, Palm Beach County commissioners unanimously approved the designation of a portion of Southern Boulevard as President Donald J. Trump Boulevard.
- The renaming comes after Gov. Ron DeSantis approved legislation in June 2025 that requires state transportation officials to install signage honoring Trump.
- Another section of Southern Boulevard was designated PBSO Motorman Highway to honor three deputies killed in a November 21, 2024 crash on that road.
- The vote was 7-0; signs costing about $1,200 each will mark both sections, though postal addresses and emergency systems will still use Southern Boulevard.
