Flemish Jonathan (42) Is Stranded with His Family and 4,000 Others in a French Mountain Village After Forest Fires: “Helicopters Are Bringing Bags of Food”
Jonathan Toussaint (42) from Flanders is stranded with his family in a mountain village near Grenoble in southern France. Due to fierce wildfires nearby, several rocks have fallen down, completely blocking the only access road to their village. Meanwhile, helicopters are dropping supplies of food and water, as local supermarkets have been almost completely looted: “People are rushing to the shops to take everything,” says Jonathan.
