With their pink colour, long necks and group size, the flamingos on the Grevelingenmeer are extra noticeable this year. A beautiful image that attracts many viewers, but there is also a downside: cars are parked criss-cross along the lake, the reeds are trampled and nature is disturbed. Conservationists are worried and fear that it will have negative consequences for the breeding season.
