Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fizzo has said he does not want his country to be embroiled in a military conflict if Article 5 of the North Atlantic Treaty is applied.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico said he does not intend to fulfil his obligations under NATO Article 5 or to take part in the defence of allies in the event of an attack by Russia. Slovakia has a common border with Ukraine and Fico is one of Putin's supporters in the European Union, probably the most important since Viktor Orban lost power.
Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fizzo said he would do everything to prevent the country from becoming embroiled in a military conflict in the event of NATO's Article 5 application, and questioned the possibility of sending Slovak troops to defend the allies.
