Five charged after violent confinement, killing in Lethbridge apartment

Police say the attack was targeted and planned, and all five suspects knew the victim, who died after being forcibly confined and choked.

  • Five Lethbridge residents face first-degree murder charges following the death of a 27-year-old man last month. The accused include Darcy Andrew Medicine Crane, 43, Jordan Frank North Peigan, 27, Nicholas Rodney Scout, 42, Bradley Stephen Paskiuski, 40, and Emma Ryann Scott, 22.
  • On March 27, the Lethbridge Police Service responded to a 911 call at an apartment on the 200 block of 7 A Avenue South. Investigators state the victim was "forcibly confined, assaulted and choked, ultimately succumbing to his injuries."
  • Evidence suggests the attack was targeted and planned, with all five suspects known to the victim. Officers found the man unresponsive inside the unit when they arrived around 6:30 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
  • Between March 28 and April 8, police arrested all five suspects, with Scott turning herself in on the final date. All five remain in custody, and authorities confirmed they are not seeking any additional suspects.
  • Paskiuski appeared in court yesterday, while Scott is scheduled for today, Friday. Medicine Crane and Scout have court appearances set for April 30, and North Peigan on May 1.
