- On Friday, the Crew Dragon capsule Endurance detached from the International Space Station at 2215 GMT, set to splash down at 1533 GMT on Saturday, carrying Crew-10 astronauts.
- Having spent nearly five months aboard the International Space Station, Crew-10's return marks the end of NASA's 10th Commercial Crew mission.
- On re-entry, huge parachutes will slow the capsule’s drop and re-entry heating will be managed before landing, and after splashdown the capsule will be recovered by a SpaceX ship.
- This mission marks the first Pacific Ocean return for a SpaceX CCP mission, as SpaceX recently shifted to West Coast reentries to minimize debris risks.
- Last week, the crew studied space-caused mental and physical changes, blood flow, and future lunar navigation techniques, NASA officials wrote.
