Fischer seeks constitutional amendment for property taxes

TRUMBULL COUNTY, OHIO, JUL 11 – The amendment aims to limit property tax bills to 1.25% of appraised value, lowering taxes for seniors amid recent 35-38% property value increases, lawmakers said.

State Rep. Tex Fischer plans to shortly introduce legislation for a 2026 constitutional amendment to limit property tax bills.
