Ukraine Opens First Defence Plant in UK to Manufacture Battle-Tested Drones
Ukrspecsystems' £200 million investment will create up to 500 jobs, producing battle-tested drones to support Ukraine and strengthen UK defence supply chains.

- Backed by a 200 million-pound UK investment, the company expects to create up to 500 jobs and manufacture PD-2, Shark and Mini-Shark drones linked to Elmsett.
- Event participants toured the factory and joined a roundtable on resilient supply chains, with Ukrainian soldiers training in the UK, British Army, UK Ministry of Defence, and local business and education leaders attending Wednesday.
- The site will host research and development operations and a component and ancillary business, with technical, logistics and administrative roles supported by an apprenticeship programme.
