Rio De Janeiro., The first BRICS People's Summit began yesterday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the aim of articulating the participation of civil society in the formulation of proposals to strengthen the cooperation of the global South within the bloc, composed of 11 emerging economies.
The four-day meeting brings together 150 representatives of movements and civil society from 21 countries to discuss global governance, economic cooperation and dedollarization.
