After six years, between complaints, investigations and delays, on June 17, 2025, the first day of trial was held for embezzlement in the Manabí Reconstruction case facing the former vice president of the Republic Jorge Glas, who serves prison sentences for bribery and unlawful association, and Carlos Bernal, former secretary of the Technical Committee for Reconstruction.
