Families holding a vigil for their children in front of the former HDP provincial headquarters in Diyarbakır said their hopes had increased after the PKK terrorist organization laid down its arms. Mevlüde Üçdağ, one of the mothers at the vigil, said, “Laying down arms means laying down our children. We are eagerly awaiting our children here. We want to hug our children, not these lifeless photographs.”
